Royal Caribbean’s Ovation of the Seas is almost 50% complete and promises the newest and most technologically advanced ship to ever call Australia home.
It will debut down under in December 2016 and bookings are now open.
The US$1 billion ship will offer three Australia and New Zealand sailings and a repositioning sailing all departing Sydney from December 2016.
New onboard experiences include the Ripcord by iFLY, a heart-pounding skydiving experience; North Star, a thrilling adventure to transport guests as high as the Sydney Harbour Bridge; the largest indoor sports and entertainment complex at sea with bumper cars, a circus school and more; and the robotic Bionic Bar.
P&O Cruises latest ship, Pacific Explorer, and will join the fleet in early 2017, building on the fresh and contemporary design of this year’s newcomers, Pacific Aria and Pacific Eden.
The 2000-guest ship will offer an array of dining experiences including Angelo’s Italian, Dragon Lady and Waterfront Restaurant which also feature on Pacific Aria and Pacific Eden.
Pacific Explorer will feature new and exciting entertainment concepts and spaces, will offer more than 400 balcony rooms as well as resort-style pool areas and the popular dining experience, The Pantry.
The 77,000-tonne ship, currently sailing as Dawn Princess, is scheduled to enter the P&O fleet in May 2017 and will sail from Sydney during its inaugural season. ?Visit: pocruises.com.au/ ships/pacific-explorer
Seabourn Encore, will debut in December 2016 and a first look of the exterior of the vessel is on website encore.seabourn.com.
The ship will cruise Australian waters during its first season, making nine maiden calls to Australian ports from Darwin to Geelong between January 22, 2017 and March 17, 2017 following its gala naming ceremony in Singapore in early January.
Seabourn Encore will maintain the line’s high ratio of space per guest, enabling highly personalised service by almost one staff member for each guest.
A sister ship, Seabourn Ovation, will join the fleet in 2018.
Seabourn Encore is being fashioned by Adam D. Tihany, with contemporary interiors and modern design elements and innovations consistent with the line’s reputation for understated elegance.
The 40,350-tonne ship will be configured with one additional deck and new expanded public areas, and is expected to carry just 600 guests.
