The Last Book About Italy
Due to the huge interest in Ann’s debut book Not Another Book About Italy, one thing was certain, she had to go back to Italy.
In The Last Book About Italy Ann and her ever patient husband Geoffrey take off to Italy again, but not before stopping in London for a mini-break. After a few chapters trawling around that great city they get over to the north of Italy to the Lakes district where they find a little adventure before driving to Tuscany for wine drinking and a huge dose of art and culture.
Then it’s off to Umbria for the famous Perugia Jazz Festival and a peek at the Spoleto Festival. Then they head to Le Marche a lesser known Italian region, but an area that is every bit as romantic and beautiful as Tuscany.
In Marche they discover beautiful hilltop towns, stay in romantic castles, join the locals at their festivals and eat and drink their way around this lovely region. Then it’s up to Venice…because who doesn’t want to visit Venice.
Then a cruise around the Croatian islands with a stop in Dubrovnik before popping down to the southern coast to Italy for a stop in Sorrento, Pompeii and back to Rome for a final farewell to Italy.
