Prepare palate for tastings
Make sure your palate is clear, your nose is twitching and your designated driver or free bus timetable is at the ready.
Two hundred wines from 40 estates will flow at the Noosa International Food & Wine Festival (May 16–19), poured by some of the most noted winemakers and authorities in the country.
Representatives from wineries you know and love, or would like to get to know and love, will be under the Village Wine Marquee, encouraging you to try their wines. Wine writers and critics will discuss, debate and guide you through a variety of topics.
Leeuwin Estate, T’Gallant, Tyrrells, Yalumba, Wirra Wirra, Nepenthe, Robert Oatley, Seppelt, Coldstream Hills…this is just a small portion of the list of the renowned wineries to take part in the festival.
There’s Champagne too. The real thing. The Queen of Champagne, Bernadette O’Shea, will take fortunate guests through an exclusive Pol Roger Champagne Masterclass, sipping from Riedel glassware of course.
Perhaps a pinot noir varietal session is more to your liking. Sample pinots from leading Australian estates with expertly devised food pairings. More Riedel glassware for this one.
In the Wine Village Marquee, two festival tickets will give you tastings and information from Bruce Tyrrell, Huon Hooke, Max Allen and other big wine names from around the country.
An exciting variety of food from your favourite Noosa restaurants at every turn at the festival grounds, means no concerns about soaking up the wine.
Strolling around the festival, glass of wine in hand in the mild autumn weather has delighted guests over the years and this year, the 10th anniversary of the festival, will be another chance to enjoy some of the finest wines available from near and far.
